In your gear's settings, set the correct date, time and timezone to Lombok (WITA, UTC+8). We sort every clip by its timestamp, so if the clock is wrong, surfers won't find themselves. Check it every few weeks — clocks drift.
Turn on JPG + RAW in your camera. You upload the lighter JPG to SpotMe (that becomes the watermarked preview). Keep the RAW on your drive — that's the high-quality file the buyer gets when they pay.
Film in 4K as usual — it stays on your SD card and never uploads until a clip sells. For SpotMe, upload the lower-res cached copy instead (~10× lighter, uploads fast on bad wifi):
• Smart controller (DJI RC / RC 2 / RC Pro): the cache is on the controller — pull the clips off it via USB-C or DJI Quick Transfer.
• Phone controller (RC-N1 / N2): the cache is in the DJI Fly app on your phone.
Getting footage off the drone uses DJI's own fast wifi — no internet needed. Only the final SpotMe upload uses your connection, and it resumes automatically if it drops. No usable cache? Bring me your card during the beta and I'll make the light versions for you.
